A misunderstanding at the inn was resolved when the innkeeper proved to be Kong Taigong, prompting laughter and reconciliation. Wu Song chose to head for Erlong Mountain, declining Song Jiang’s invitation to Qingfeng Fortress. On the way, Song Jiang was captured by Yan Shun and Wang Ying, who treated him respectfully after learning his identity. Song Jiang rescued Commander Liu’s wife from Wang Ying’s advances, forced her release, and later reached Qingfeng Fortress, where Hua Rong harbored hidden hostility toward Liu Zhizhai.
