Beechgrove Garden
Season 48 Episode 17: Episode 17
It's all about the borders at Beechgrove Garden as Brian Cunningham and Kirsty Wilson replant, fill gaps and replace losses all around the plot. Kirsty revisits her hot border, designed to display vibrant colours at the height of summer. The winter temperatures killed off a few plants, so she will be trying out some alternatives. Brian is in the calendar border, created to have some form of colour or interest every month of the year. It has not had much attention this year, so Brian will be topping it up to ensure year-round performance. Kirsty will also be planting in the border behind Beechgrove's main pond, where other gaps have appeared, and she is building a new structure to create a habitat for pollinators. There is a trip to visit a great garden on the Cowal Peninsula, and all the week's handy hints.
