Francis is married to the forró dancer Rosalinda. Television's success has caused the cinema business to collapse. Deep in debt, Francis sells his soul to the Devil, and the Cine Holliúdy is packed once again. However, Rosalinda refuses to accept her husband's pact with the Devil and leaves him. Unable to come to terms with losing his beloved, Francis tries to undo the deal—but shaking off the Devil won't be easy.
