Mats Mine Down Under is located approximately five hours from Cairns in the Palmer River Gold Field. After numerous visits in recent years, it has become Andreas Macherey's second home. In the next three weeks, the men want to build a large wash plant there. No easy and no cheap undertaking: But the investment could pay off, because the capacity of the shaker is enormous. With its help, the duo can mine the precious metal deposits much faster than with gold pans.
