At 21, he set off to sail around the world with a sailboat and a hen—a five-year journey undertaken with absolutely no prior experience. He survived storms, 10-meter waves, and temperatures of -40°C, and spent 130 days alone amidst the ice in Greenland. He also rowed across the Atlantic and back. He is soon set to attempt a world record that only five sailors have achieved to date.
