Ana travels to Ivanje to see the property she inherited. On the way she accidentally meets Viktor, whose father Bozo is just about to marry Elena, the owner of the boarding house. Elena's sister also arrives at their wedding. Dinka, who was hoping for reconciliation after so many years of quarreling. When Andrija, the son of Bozo's maid Marija, finds out why Ana came back to Ivanj, he won't resist humiliating Elena and Bozo before the guests.
